Commanders Message
Hello Everyone. I pray that you all are doing fine, and welcome to our new members. What about the weather lately? We still have some serious money problems. With our closing three days, one being our Bingo day, we lost a couple of thousand dollars. In spite of snow removal and not opening, we've had some good events at the Post. Our New Years Eve Bingo Day and Party were both nice affairs. Special thanks goes out to our Bingo Group and Elizabeth Rice. We also had a good turnout for the Super Bowl Party. Thanks to all who contributed and helped out with both of these functions.
Well here it is election time once again. anyone wishing to serve as a Post Officer or Delegate, please come in and sign up at the end of the bar. Membership is currently at 81%. SAL is 90%. The Department Commander Mooney would like to award Membership Challenge Coins to those who sign up 10 new members by June 13th, 2011. The Md. Department Convention shirts this year are black with the Maryland crest on the left hand side of the American Legion emblem on the right side of the shirt. The cost for the shirt will be $30. If you are not attending the Convention, but would like to order a shirt, please add $5.00 per shirt. (Challenge Coin certification form is in next page). Thanks go to all Post employees and volunteers. I couldn't do it without you. Thanks to Mary McClain for your love and support.

Misc. Legion Information
On Thursdays from 7 PM To 10 PM all beers are only $1.00 each, and we also have Au Jus Roast Beef sandwiches for only $3.00. Come on in for a good deal!
We are also having free cholesterol screening at the Post on March, 1st 2011 between 5 PM and 7 PM. Come take part in this Post function - good info for you.
