The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all individuals with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics provides them with continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness skills, express courage, experience joy and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympians and the Community.
